SNAPE Audio is a one-person indie plugin developer. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you download free plugins from this site, why we collect it, and how we use it. We keep it short because our data practices are simple.
When you request downloads, we collect:
We do not ask for your name, payment details, or any financial information. Downloads are free.
After your first request, this site saves a random token in your browser's local storage so you do not have to type your email again. It is not a tracking cookie and it is not shared with anyone. Choosing "change" in the downloads bar, or clearing your browser's site data, removes it.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. This collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited and session duration. We do not link it to your email address. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

The email containing your download links is a service message and is sent whether or not you ticked the updates box. Plugin update emails are sent only to people who ticked it. The box is never ticked for you.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Every plugin update email includes an unsubscribe link. One click on it, then one confirm, and we stop sending them. You can also email support@snapeaudio.com and we will remove you by hand.
Your information is stored in a secured database on our web hosting server. Emails are sent through our web hosting provider's mail service. We do not use a separate CRM or marketing platform. If that changes, we will update this page before it does.
We keep your email address until you ask us to delete it. If you would like your information removed, email us and we will delete it within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain records.

We rely on your consent to send plugin update emails, and you can withdraw it at any time. We rely on the need to deliver what you asked for when we send your download links, and on our interest in keeping the site secure when we log IP addresses and limit repeated requests. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
